Brown paper bag bugs cause you to scramble to get a fixed version out as soon as possible, which causes more bugs and that causes more grief, which causes you to screw up the upload. I suck. Maybe we should discourage being your own upstream.
I have a line in my ~/devel/TODO under aewm that says “UPDATE THE FUCKING VERSION NUMBER IN aewm.h YOU DOLT”. Will I remember to read it? Who knows?
I just installed Bitlbee and added 14 lines to said file for that, but the one line for ghosd has priority.
<decklin> but that will actually be FUN unlike hacking gaim which is AWFUL
Yeah, that’s why, mainly. I think I just need to be more professional.

Apropos of my last post here, I am redoing my rawdog config and writing a tag plugin. This involved merging all my state pickles into one file first, which rather strangely brought my server to its knees until the OOM-killer kicked in.
I couldn't figure out what was going on for a second. And then I noticed that ever since I switched it to LVM I wasn't using my swap partition at all. So, a word of warning: never assume your fstab is right just because your filesystems show up.
Pickle still needs to be replaced, but a lot of things need to be replaced.
OMG! I just remembered I own a copy of the elephant shrew book!
...Somewhere.
I would have had no idea that’s what those were if not for this page. (This is a blog, I have to make a link somewhere. Read the articles; they made me smile at least.)
I missed Andrei! It was Sunday. Real Art Ways (no longer listed, sadly). They were doing a faith series and I think I had it confused with Cinestudio’s new French thing. Pas sur la bouche is not until February, which is, well, technically tomorrow.
I will have to go see The Squid and the Whale, then. My brother has been telling me to do so.
Am I still doing the commentary thing here? I don’t know. But I had this one saved for Andrei since about the last time I watched it: an article from the Journal of Religion and Film. Really! Not unlike the Journal of Religion and Popular Culture, it is great reading.
